Born and raised in Germany, Erika moved to the UK to study in 2000 and has since made it her permanent home.

Erika is inspired to experiment with a wide range of photographic equipment and techniques, whether using film or digital. She is particularly excited by the possibilities of transforming an everyday scene in order to evoke an emotional response in the viewer, using, for instance, Holgas or Lens Babies.
